Good morning!! I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far!! 🙂 I worked a lot yesterday on my computer and also around my house. A storm hit last night and I loved sitting outside enjoying the rain! Ohhh I love the smell..it’s so fresh! I didn’t like rain so much when I grew up in Nebraska because it always rained. Here in the desert it’s a nice treat! 🙂 I found out last night that Mia doesn’t like storms so now I have 2 dogs afraid of them. Ugggghhhh! After the storm I made a delicious pasta dinner, opened a bottle of wine and rented a movie. It was a perfect night to spend at home. I think it might rain again today, but if not I would love to get in some pool time. I need to get some work done again today. My week ahead is sooooo busy..I am not sure where to start.???

A HUGE THANK YOU to Plastiek for the beautiful portrait of Josie. Omg, I love it so much!!! I opened it and had both tears of sadness and joy! It is so perfect, it looks just like her!! I can’t thank him enough..it is so special to me!! I can’t wait to have it framed and displayed in my house. I miss my baby girl so much!!

Off now to get some work done!

Happy Friday!!! Aren’t you happy the weekend is almost here?? I will be working most of my weekend because I just got back from camping up in the mountains. It was pretty awesome to go during the week, nobody was around. We camp out in the middle of nowhere so we usually don’t see a lot of people any way, but we do see a few and the traffic heading up and back was good too. I think I prefer camping during the week. It was great! The weather was amazing…80’s during the day and 50’s at night. Perfect!! It was Mia’s first camping trip and she was a little afraid of the RV…but on the way home she did much better. I have lots of mosquito bites! Ouch..I forget how bad those suck! I guess I will be buying some bug spray for next trip.

It was such a beautiful and peaceful trip …I had so much fun with Buzz and my doggies! Now back to work for me!!

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven’t been around much lately, I adopted a new dog and she has been keeping me very busy. 🙂 I spent all weekend introducing her to my other dogs and now they are all getting along. Whew! It was a lot of work, but way worth it. I did a lot of research on how to properly introduce a new dog because 2 of my dogs don’t really like other dogs. I was a little worried they weren’t going to get a long..but they do! Woohoo!! She is so awesome, I love her a lot!!!! She is probably close to a year old and she is a Pit Bull mix. The vet thought she might have some Boxer in her. There was no history on her because she was a stray. Poor baby sat in that nasty shelter for over a month! I adopted her on Friday after she was “fixed.” I went to 4 different shelters and she was the one I fell in love with. Of course I loved them all…but could only adopt one. She is so full of life and has so much energy.. she is smart and so sweet too! She loves all other dogs and all people, including kids! I took her to the vet yesterday and he said she is healthy and happy! She will bring a lot of love to everyone around her. She wants to swim, but she can’t for 10 days because of her surgery. I wasn’t going to get a dog so soon after Josie’s death…but I am glad I did. She is wonderful! 🙂 If you are thinking of getting a new pet..be sure to adopt one and save a life! They make the best pets ever!

It is so hot here..114 today. Yuk! I need to plan another camping trip soon!
