I always love when May 5th rolls around..that means a margarita (or two) and some yummy Mexican food..a celebration! 🙂 It’s a big celebration in Arizona. I guess I assumed everyone knew what Cinco De Mayo means..but I had people on twitter asking me what it is. So here you go:
It actually celebrates the 1862 Mexican victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla. So basically it is more of a U.S. “holiday” than a Mexican one. Americans will find any reason to party. 😉
I am getting my work done early, heading to the gym and then off to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. It’s going to be a fun day!
