A healthy… well balanced diet

Good morning! Wow..what a gorgeous day!!! Not a cloud in the sky! 🙂 A good day to get out of the house!! And that is exactly what I need to do. I am off to the gym and then probably do a little shopping. I am still searching for that perfect patio set. I need two couches and two chairs..shouldn’t be that hard to find..but it is. Oh well..I will never complain about shopping!!

I have been trying to eat as healthy as I can lately…actually started in 08 as being my new years resolution. I am doing good… but I have a hard time eating fruits. I just don’t like them! I love love love veggies!! I am doing good with protein too, but fruit is hard for me to swallow. As you see I am trying to be more creative and add fruits to my meals. This salad is so yummy too! It is good with oranges as well. I am having some oatmeal with bananas and blueberries right now. Good stuff! I have been grocery shopping at one of the health food stores and I am finding some good stuff! Only thing is the food is so much more expensive. Why does it have to be more money to be healthy? Just the way it is …I suppose! I bought some salsa the other day and WOW it is delicious. One of my favorite foods EVER! It is made fresh every morning..and it is made with green tomatoes. It is really sweet and spicy too! Gosh..you think I am hungry today or what? ha! Ever have mornings like that? Where you wake up starving?? Now that I don’t drink coffee I get hungry pretty early..which I know eating breakfast is a good thing 🙂

*****Life Is Good*****

Yeah..Saturday has arrived! Another beautiful day in the desert! 🙂 I don’t have anything too crazy going on today..I need to put on my rubber gloves and get some cleaning done..oh and laundry too. I don’t mind cleaning, but I really hate doing laundry. Why must we wear those darn clothes any ways? ha! It will be a nice productive chore day. Tonight I am thinking of going out ..maybe dinner and a movie. Something fun, but relaxing too.

I bought this coffee cup awhile back. I thought it was cute, I love love love pink! And of course..Life Is Good! It really is! 🙂 Be sure to take some time out this weekend and smell the roses!

I quit drinking coffee and replaced it with green tea. I didn’t really care for the taste at first..especially with NO sugar. Ugh! However it is starting to grow on me..plus I know it is so healthy! So good for my bod!

The Best Time To Receive Flowers….

The best time to receive flowers ….is for NO reason at all. I think it is awesome to get flowers “just because”..no reason except “I love you..I am thinking of you…” Some girls have come to expect flowers on Valentines Day, Birthdays…etc… Not me! What good is getting flowers if they are expected? Not a lot of thought into that ..ya know? Any ways..I woke up to some beautiful flowers sitting on my kitchen counter. Aren’t they pretty? I love the colors and they smell so yummy! Ah, that makes me happy. I snapped a couple of photos and two of my dogs just had to be in the pics ..gosh, they are funny! They are so curious with anything new. Ha! Silly dogs! My thought for the day is to just go out and do something nice for someone. Someone you love OR a total stranger…”just because..no reason” I bet it will make you feel good! I bet you can tell I am in a wonderful mood? It is gorgeous outside and I am feeling great. Ready for a nice day ahead.

My dinner last night was OH SO DELICIOUS! We decided on Mexican food after all. No surprise, my entire family loves it! We had a few margaritas while we waited for our table. The restaurant was packed! We had a 30 minute wait. We wanted to sit outside so it took a while longer. I was happy to see people out spending money …having fun! Always good for the economy. The restaurant has a little pond in the middle of it..and there are tons of ducks, geese and birds …they are hilarious. They are constantly “quacking” ..carrying on. Let’s just say if you want peace and quiet..that is not the place for you.

Hey..good afternoon! Wow..this Monday is flying by..I am keeping very busy. (guess that is why) I thought about taking a nice bike ride around my neighborhood, but remembered I have a flat tire. OOPS! I have the stuff to fix it, I just need to do it. Yes that is the bike I recently bought..didn’t take long for me to get a flat. LOL I never thought I would like blue..but I love it. I am really into the color thing lately. Still searching for that colorful patio furniture too. I am sooo tired of brown, tan, cream..ugh!

It is so beautiful outside..I feel like getting out a bit today. I do have to run a few errands…but was hoping for something more fun. Oh well…work hard this week so I can play over the weekend. 🙂
